The Yard Kitchen / Penrith My number one favourite place of all time, with all my favourite people and food. Best cafe to exist ever. If you ever visit The Lake District, go visit The Yard - and you'll most likely find a guy painting tiny animals at the bar...
Upfront Gallery / Penrith Fun fact! I helped to build the puppet theatre attached to this vegetarian coffee shop / art gallery. John Parkinson & his team work hard to make this beautiful place full of wonderful food, art & theatre!
Mrs Millers / Penrith Sister restaurant to Four & Twenty and all round brilliant chefs & folks, this could be one of my favourite eating-restaurants in the whole of the Penrith area. It may sound like a tearoom on the surface, but secret delicious fine dining lies underneath..
The Square Orange / Keswick My old teenage haunt, many a night drinking chai lattes with friends, listening to incredible live music, laughing, playing games. It's somewhat tradition to have a games night here every year (usually my birthday!)
Narrowbar Cafè / Penrith When I owned a music store in Penrith, I always went for lunch here. Caesar salad wraps are just perfection. Great spot to meet with friends and family and have a lovely quiet catch up about life over some tasty food.
Dockray Hall / Penrith This lovely restaurant will be not too far from my house soon! Richard III's old townhouse, a fantastic food place with equally fascinating history! Also, my wonderful friend Sandy works there - and she's incredible!
Four & Twenty / Penrith These guys have been so kind to me over the years, lovely & delicious fancy food, relaxed atmosphere to sit in and.. oh hey what are those on the walls? Are they my paintings? Maybe.
Mrs F's Fine Food Emporium / Keswick Two doors down from Gallery 26, these guys have lovely welcoming signs everywhere, make incredible (genuinely) incredible soup (tomato is my favourite). Get some soup and walk up to see The Miniature Zoo in person perhaps?
