“The Fire Salamander has several glands from which it can produce a toxic liquid called samandarin.
When threatened the salamander can shoot this liquid up to 3 feet.
As the glands are positioned behind their eyes, they are able to defend themselves from attackers as they run away, firing the toxin backwards.”
