“Also known as the black jellyfish, the sea nettle can reach up to a metre across, with arms stretching a further five or six metres.
Each tentacle is coated in thousands of microscopic nematocysts which when touched, triggers a capsule containing a venom-coated stinging filament.
These toxins have the potential to kill smaller prey or stun predators.”
