“The Double-Eyed Fig Parrot is so named for its blue facial markings which in some birds are a similar size to the eyes.
They feed on figs, berries, seeds, nectar and grubs and unlike other parrots which use existing tree holes to nest in, they excavate their own nest cavities in rotten trees.”
