“The European Eagle Owl is one of the most powerful species of owl, capable of killing species much larger than any other owl.
Their main prey consists of small mammals such as voles, rats and rabbits, but they have been known to take young deer, sheep and pigs.
They will also eat reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates.
In total, over 600 different species have been identified as prey of the European Eagle Owl.”
