“Gerenuk primarily feed on the foliage of trees and bushes and are able to reach higher branches more easily than other antelope by standing on their hind legs and elongating their long necks.
This helps them to reach food over 2 metres above the ground and their pointed mouth helps when removing leaves from thorny vegetation.”
