“Several anole lizard species have been known to lay their eggs communally in the same nest.
It is not known for certain why they do this, but as there are limited nesting sites available, females may be able to conserve energy looking for suitable sites.
Also, eggs may be incubated more efficiently in a large group, aiding their development.”
