“The Mary River Turtle is one of several species of cloaca-breathing turtles, which breathe underwater using specialised glands in their reproductive organs.
This allows them to remain underwater for up to 72 hours at a time.
It is only found in the Mary River in Australia and is endangered due to predation and loss of habitat.”
